Presenter bio
Thomas is the Director of Coaching at My Business on Purpose. He has been in organizational leadership for the past 15 years with the past 3 of those fully focused on small business coaching. He has a degree in Marketing from Clemson University and wakes up every morning excited to liberate business owners from chaos. His most recent expertise and focus have been centered on helping family-owned businesses build the necessary systems and processes to create a succession plan for their kids.
Thomas is a regular contributor to the Business on Purpose Podcast, where he shares real-life stories of transformation and encourages all listeners to work ON their business, not just IN. His client success stories span a wide variety of industries, but his niche is the contractor and trade spaces.
When not liberating business owners from chaos, he can be found wrestling his 3 kids or navigating the open ocean on a boat or surfboard.
LIVE AI Demo: How Contractor Owners Use Simple AI That Runs Unlimited Estimates and Takeoffs
Most contractor owners are either ignoring AI entirely or buying expensive tools that deliver almost nothing — because they're putting ornaments on a tree that doesn't exist yet. In this hands-on workshop, you'll watch a live AI estimating agent run real scope packages in real time — and learn exactly why it works, how it was built, and how to build your own version for your contracting business. No coding. No tech background required. Just a documented process, a $20/month tool, and the right build order.
Learning Objectives:
1. Identify which of the three types of AI your business is currently using — and why only one of them creates a real competitive advantage for contractor owners.
2. Apply the 10/80/10 Rule to your estimating workflow so AI does the heavy lifting while you stay in control of quality and approval.
3. Walk away with a blueprint for building your own AI estimating agent — trained on your scope language, your trade packages, and your fixed-cost protection standards.
Target audience: Homebuilders, Remodelers, Contractors
