Developing the Next Generation of Construction Foremen

The construction industry is facing a growing leadership gap as experienced foremen retire

and fewer workers are prepared to step into leadership roles. Many skilled tradespeople

are promoted into foreman positions without the tools needed to lead crews,

communicate expectations, and manage jobsite pressure.

This session introduces practical leadership concepts designed specifically for the

construction environment. Attendees will learn simple visual frameworks that help

diagnose jobsite challenges, improve communication, and develop leadership skills

among tradespeople.

Using tools such as the Power Bicycle leadership model and the Success Formula,

participants will see how direction, action, and consistency influence crew performance

and job site culture.

Participants will also receive a practical field workbook designed specifically for the

seminar. This booklet provides visual frameworks, diagnostic tools, and leadership

exercises that attendees can immediately apply on their jobsites to begin developing

stronger foremen and improving crew performance.

Target audience: Developers, Company Owners, Managers, General Contractors, Builders, Supervisors
