Presenter bio
Michael Shiplet serves as Regional Director at Gordian, overseeing the development, implementation and ongoing support of Job Order Contracting (JOC) programs across seven states, including NM, CO, TX, LA, OK, MS and KS. With more than 21 years at Gordian and over 43 years of experience in the construction industry, he leads regional operations by supervising and training all personnel supporting client accounts. Mr. Shiplet began his Gordian career as an Account Manager, initially supporting four New Mexico clients before expanding his role to help implement statewide JOC programs for both New Mexico and a national cooperative based in Staples, Minnesota. Prior to joining Gordian, he managed Flinchum Construction’s S.A.B.E.R. contract with the U.S. Air Force, where he oversaw project management, quality control, design, estimating and subcontractor coordination. He holds an Associate of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
