Evan R. Bermudez focuses his practice on trust-based estate planning, asset protection, and the business work that surrounds it — business formation, entity structuring, and succession planning. He works primarily with investors, business owners, and families who want a plan that accounts for how their assets are actually held, not just who inherits them. Evan takes a client-first approach and spends as much time explaining as he does drafting. Clients tend to leave the first meeting understanding not just which documents they need, but why the structure works the way it does. His work includes drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives; forming and structuring entities for investors and small business owners; and guiding fiduciaries through trust and estate administration. Evan serves as a faculty member for the National Business Institute, where he presents continuing legal education seminars to other attorneys on estate planning topics, and he speaks regularly to professional and community audiences. He earned his J.D. from the Charleston School of Law and his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Alabama. Evan grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He left the state for college and, like a lot of North Carolinians who try it, found his way back. Outside the office, Evan is a devoted Alabama football and Cleveland Browns fan, spends time in the gym, and can usually be found exploring the Charlotte area with his fiancée and their Goldendoodle.
